New Arabic Lessons During 2024

 Assalamu Alaykum  (السلام عليكم) Everyone!

Welcome ( أهلا وسهلا)!

New Lessons During 2024

I decided to take a break during December 2023 and part of January 2024.  What can I say?  I just needed to recalibrate and re-energize for the New Year!

As mentioned before, I decided to produce more video & audio lessons, more frequently during this year, In-Sha-Allah!  I shall therefore use less transitions & effects in future in order to accomplish this goal.  Those students who are following the Enjoy Arabic - Book One Video Lessons, may access the text, i.e. the pages of the book via this blog (See Pages: Lesson One, etc. on Right Pane).  I'll continue to share the text Lessons in advance for the benefit of those who wish to study ahead & not be slowed down by the Video Lessons.  It is however advisable to still watch the videos, when they are shared, in order to internalize the concepts. 

I shall also conduct a number of short courses during this year for those who wish to attend classes in person.  I am awaiting confirmation on a venue in the Athlone area (in Cape Town, South Africa).  Once confirmed, I'll announce the course/s that I'll be presenting.  These courses will probably start mid-February 2024.  Students who cannot attend at the venue, may register to take the course via WhatsApp.

I shall also be sharing a New Read Arabic Course, aimed at complete beginners. The focus of this course shall be Reading & Writing Names in Arabic.  This course will be suitable to all beginners (even those who cannot read a single letter in Arabic), irrespective of age! 

Students who wish to Speak Arabic, may visit my Speak Arabic Today Blog  .  I'll be sharing those lessons via this platform as well.  I also intend to share the audios soon, in-Sha-Allah!

Please make dua that all these will be accomplished in due course!

Below you'll find our introductory video to the course: Enjoy Arabic More!, which has been designed for Beginners to Arabic -Young & Old!  Yes, friends, the Enjoy Arabic - Book One, on which this course is based, was originally written for young learners: Young in Age or Young at Heart!

Many schools and madrasahs ("Muslim Schools") have been using this text to introduce their learners to Arabic over the last two and a half decades.  Now, we've decided to bring the text to life with videos and very colourful animations!

Enjoy Arabic - Book One Course

Assalaamu Alaykum Everyone

The current course on offer is:  Enjoy Arabic - Book One

This course will be available for anyone who is interested.

 ABOUT THE COURSE:

The Enjoy Arabic - Book One (EA-B1) Course is based on the text which was written by myself, Idrees Kamish, and published by Silk Road Publishers in 1998.  For more info. re this text CLICK HERE.

The course will cover the 150 page text (EA-B1). However additional Audio & Video Lessons will be provided via this blog, based on the text, as well as granting 'fast learners' additional vocabulary, structures and information on a weekly basis to facilitate the learning process (hence the blog title Enjoy Arabic More).  

DURATION: 

The current course will be covered over a period of 12 weeks: from 13 September to 29 November 2023.  The course materials will however remain available to all students (on this blog) for a few extra months. 

VENUE FOR CLASS ATTENDANCE:

The current venue for those who wish to attend classes in person is the Nurul Islam Mosque in Heideveld, Cape Town.  Physical attendance at this venue is FREE!  Students will not be expected to pay a fee for attending classes at this venue, however a donation may be requested.  Those who choose this option, may not automatically receive access to all the additional course materials which will be made available via this blog.  If they want access, they must also register via WhatsApp and complete the FINAL REGISTRATION (see below).

ONLINE/ WHATSAPP CLASSES:

Those students who wish to take the course, without physically attending classes may do so.  All courses materials: copies of the text, audio & video lessons, etc. will be provided via this blog or via WhatsApp. The materials will become available as they are covered at the venue/s mentioned above.

These materials will remain available to all students who registered for the "Online/ WhatsApp Classes" for at least 4 more months after completion of the programme (until 31 March 2024 or beyond).

PRE-REGISTRATION:

Those who are interested to register or want to know more, must please PRE-REGISTER by sending the FULL NAME & WHATSAPP CONTACT NUMBER to ustaadh Idrees at +27 71 680 8756 OR: CONTACT DETAILS.

FINAL REGISTRATION:

For full/ FINAL REGISTRATION the following must be provided:

1.  The student must provide their email address to gain access to all materials mentioned above - which will become available on/ via this blog.  Students who do not have an email address can: 

1.1 Create their own email address by following the prompts (at Create a Google Account) or use an alternative site of their choice;

1.2 If they cannot do the above (1.1), Request a student email address which will be created for their use whilst registered for this course.  (Only the assigned student will have access to this email address like with any personal address.)

2.  Students must provide further details as requested by completing the online registration via: REGISTER;

3. Students must complete the READ & WRITE ARABIC SURVEY.

COURSE FEES/ DONATION:

1. FULL FEES: Although the class attendance is FREE, students will be requested to pay the course fee/ donation of R175 per month or R500 once off.  This fee will grant students access to all course materials mentioned above, which will be available on/ via this blog. 

2.  DISCOUNTS:  Students who register on or before 10 September 2023 (for the current course) will receive a discount of between 20-50%.  This means they may end up paying only R 250  - R 400 (once off) for the full course and have the access to this blog for the extended period (mentioned above).

3.  SUBSIDY: Students who still cannot afford the above mentioned fees, may apply for a course subsidy by emailing Ustaadh Attayyibah and explaining their circumstances.
